Here at Blaze Tails, I offer a few types of walk. This guide will help you decide which one fits you and your dog best, ensuring your pet gets the exercise and care they need.

Why Dog Walking Services Matter

Dog walking is essential for busy pet owners. Many people work long hours or have other commitments that make it difficult to give their dogs the attention they deserve. I can provide:

  • Regular exercise: Dogs need daily walks to stay healthy and happy.

  • Socialization: Walking with other dogs can help your pet develop social skills.

  • Relief for busy owners: I can ease the burden of your daily schedule.

Types of Dog Walks on offer

  • Solo walks: One-to-one attention for your dog, ideal for pets that need extra care, those reactive to other dogs or nervous around other people and animals. These are 30 minutes in length and are priced at £10 with an additional dog in the same family, an extra £5.

  • Group walks: A fun way for dogs to socialize with others. This option is great for friendly dogs that enjoy company. I offer three group walks that are all an hour in length and priced at £15, with each additional dog from the same household £5. The first walk is 9-10am for those that like to get out the door first thing in the morning! The next runs 10.30-11.30am and is for large lively dogs who love to run, play and just be dogs! We run over field, woods, mud, whatever and is best for off lead dogs. Beware, they come home knackered!!! My third group runs 1-2pm and is for smaller, slower dogs, some on lead, some off lead. We walk a bit slower and have a good exercise without the rough and tumble! If I have enough numbers we venture over to our secure dog fields (either Shawbury, Wem or Market Drayton) which is a great time for those with poor recall or hard of hearing to have a stretch and bumble round with their mates away from traffic.

The Benefits of Hiring Blaze Tails

  • Consistency: Regular walks help establish a routine for your dog, which can reduce anxiety.

  • Health benefits: Regular exercise can help prevent obesity and related health issues.

  • Peace of mind: Knowing your dog is in good hands allows you to focus on your day without worry.

How I Prepare for Your First Walk

Before your dog’s first walk me, there are a few steps to take:

  1. Meet and greet: Arrange a meeting between your dog and myself to ensure we all get along.

  2. Provide information: Share details about your dog’s behavior, health, and any special needs, using my short client intake form.

  3. Set expectations: Discuss how often you want your dog walked and any specific requirements. I will then decide which group fits your dog and your circumstances.

Tips for a Successful Dog Walking Experience

To ensure a positive experience for us all, keep these tips in mind:

  • Be clear about your dog’s needs: The more information you provide, the better I can cater to your pet.

  • Stay in touch: Regular communication with me can help address any concerns.

  • Trust your instincts: If something doesn’t feel right, don’t hesitate to make a change.

Final Thoughts

Choosing the right dog walker is an important decision for any pet owner. By considering your dog’s needs and getting in touch, we can decide whether I am the right person for your dog and your lifestyle. Remember, a happy dog means a happy owner. If I am the right person for you both, I will ensure your little buddy gets the exercise and care they deserve.
